Gynecologist and Medical Director

Josep Obradors

Josep Obradors graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Barcelona, specialising in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. He has over 35 years’ medical experience, which means he has accompanied over 25,000 couples during pregnancy and the birth of their children. His professional career in Figueres is widely acknowledged.

He was Head of the Obstetrics and Gynaecology Service at Figueres Hospital from 1985-1991; Attending specialist doctor at the Josep Trueta Provincial Hospital in Girona from 1991-2009, and also the Gynaecological Laparoscopy Surgery Unit Coordinator at the Josep Trueta Hospital from 1994-2006.

He was also appointed Chairman of the Obstetrics and Gynaecology Section from the province of Girona of the Medical Sciences Academy of Catalonia and the Balearic Islands from 1997-2002.

He has worked in his consulting room in Figueres and at the Clinica Santa Creu.

Nowadays, Dr. Josep Obradors is the Medical Director of FIV Obradors and will assist you in the initial diagnostic medical visits and during the moments of the process in which you need your intervention.

Biologist and Laboratory Director

Albert Obradors

Albert Obradors is a biologist and has developed his professional career in the field of assisted reproduction. The gynaecological knowledge of his father and the clinic’s Medical Director, Josep Obradors, has always been a driving force behind Albert Obradors when exploring the disciplines of Biology and Genetics and adapting all that accumulated experience into fertility and treatments for couples and people who wish to have children.

His professional path led him to work at Eugin for seven years, where he managed the Eugin Group laboratories worldwide. With the support of his previous team of biologists, he has helped more than 10,000 families have children. He has published around twenty scientific articles and has given numerous speeches at European, American, African and national conferences. His knowledge has enabled him to audit other assisted reproduction clinics in Europe, America and Africa to help them improve their pregnancy success results.

He is a Doctor of the Autonomous University of Barcelona and of Yale University in the USA with research on Pre-implantation Genetic Diagnosis (PGD).
He is the Laboratory Director at the FIV Obradors Clinic and will assist you during informative visits about the treatments carried out as well as during the diagnostic medical visit you need. He will support you throughout the assisted reproduction process.

Psychologist

Lídia Sibecas

Graduated in Educational Psychology and with a Master’s degree in Emotional Intelligence, Lídia Sibecas is in constant contact with patients to support them at all times. At FIV Obradors we are aware of the great psychological stress that assisted reproduction treatment can create.
